Shout To the Lord

On “American Idol Gives Back”, the contestants sang an edited version of “Shout to the Lord.” Instead of My Jesus, my Savior opening, it was My Shepherd, my Savior.

Here is a clip:

Hm..taking “Jesus” out does not really change anything? I mean the contestants have sang songs containing the word “Jesus” in it before. Who else can the song be directed to?

French legislators are trying to pass a bill that would outlaw Websites that promote eating disorders or “thinspirations.” The law was suggested after the death of supermodel Ana Carolina Reston, who died in 2006 of anorexia (See picture below). Not only will this affect websites but magazines or any publications that advertise staying thin. The punishment: a couple of years in prison or a $70,000 fine.

“With the proposed law, the French legislators are seeking to tame a murky world of some 400 sites extolling “ana” and “mia,” nicknames for anorexia and bulimia. Since 2000, such Web sites have multiplied in many languages, offering blunt tips on crash dieting, bingeing, vomiting and hiding weight loss from concerned parents.”

  1. sounds soo weird hearing that song on america idol
its funny though how they need to use christian songs to get ppl to donate
while there seems to be none in the secular world
