They Were Green in Biblical Times!

Ezekiel 4:11-13

Also measure out a sixth of a hin [c] of water and drink it at set times. 12 Eat the food as you would a barley cake; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel.”

Ezekiel 4:15

15 “Very well,” he said, “I will let you bake your bread over cow manure instead of human excrement.”

Americans should learn something from that.

Also, in the third book of the Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, The Amber Spyglass, he creates these wheel creatures known as “mulefas.” I was reminded of this when I read this in Ezekiel.

19 When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. 20 Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 21 When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
