Bronx Science Ranked 33rd

Bronx Science was ranked 33rd in this year’s U.S. News and World Report of Top 100 Public High Schools in America.  Okay, I am going to be a bit competitive for a second. Stuyvesant High School was ranked 23rd, which was the highest of all the New York City/Long Island schools. (Ugly website) High School of American Studies at Lehman College , however, beat out Bronx Science and took the 29th spot?! The number one slot went to Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia for two straight years. (Their website is ugly too)

Townsend Harris High School was  ranked 71st. Four Long Island High Schools not surprisingly made the list: Great Neck South High School, No. 49, Jericho Senior High School at No. 62; Cold Spring Harbor High School at No. 84; and, The Wheatley School in Old Westbury at No. 88.

Does anyone know where and what in the world Dual Language and Asian Studies High School is? It’s in New York City. I’ve never heard of anyone graduating from that high school. Smaller schools obviously do better because there is a lesser chance that someone will screw up an AP test so High School of American Studies at Lehman College and Dual Language and Asian Studies High School are therefore ahead of Bronx Science.

Sorry, I am fiercely loyal to my high school. Eric, tell your peers to buckle down and pass those freakin AP exams, GR!
