I have  been watching ridiculous amounts of documentaries, all thanks to Netflix. Recently, I watched Helvetica, which is about the font’s history and ubiquitous presence in everyday society. The film is a bit long and gets dull because you can only say so much about how awesome a font is. I liked how one graphic designer said something along the lines of “doctors cure the physically sick but a graphic designers cure the visually diseased.” I think I will be writing all my papers from now in Helvetica. Switzerland is the bomb diggity. All the graphic designers featured in the film wore one colored, mostly black, long sleeved button down or turtle necked shirts. They were so organized, which reminded me of  Gilbert Huph in The Incredibles.

You can’t escape the grasps of Helvetica!
