O’Rourke’s Diner

Filed under: buddies, food, school — mete23 @ 9:03 pm

This is O’Rourke’s Diner at night.

So two weekends ago, my cool gang of Wesleyan friends, plus Charles, and I went to try out this famous diner. The appearance is extremely deceiving. It looks like a run down shabby metal container. But we had to wait 45 minutes out in the cold to get a table.

Brian O’Rourke is the cook and owner of the diner. His uncle established this tin box in 1941.

I forgot what my order was called because the name was too long but it was stuffed French Toast with pears. Super delicious.

What everyone else ordered. The sweet potato fries were amazing. Well, everything on the menu looked drool worthy.

This is the best thing about Middletown.

So, if you come visit me, I will take you here! If you love HIMYM, they make a reference to O’Rourke’s Diner.
